Ideas & planning notes

Planning suggestion: prepare about 3 weeks ahead.

  • Highlight a real project, lesson or community contribution without sharing private customer information.
  • Confirm January hours and offer one clear next step for the new year.

Suggested planning range, not an official event or a promise of demand. Adapt it to your audience, region and capacity. These are optional planning examples for Canada, not verified local school terms, weather seasons, religious observances or closure dates. Confirm dates with your community.

Printing uses your selected year and filters. Campaign ranges may appear in more than one month.

A useful starting point

Make the calendar your own.

Choose a country or browse all 42 countries and regions. Use each card’s audience, source and planning notes to decide whether a date is relevant to your business.

For Canada, choose a province or territory. Each Canadian holiday card identifies public/statutory, government/sector-specific or non-statutory scope and links to government rules. This is a planning calendar, not an employment-entitlement calculator. Substitute days off, workplace coverage and local closures need separate confirmation.

Religious observances help with considerate planning. The Canadian view includes selected major dates from several traditions; it is not an exhaustive list or an assumption about anyone’s beliefs. Some observances start the preceding evening. Lunar, local and annually declared dates need community confirmation; unverified years stay pending. Open each card for its sources.

Dates use the labelled representative time zone for the selected country. Countries with several time zones can have a different local date; check the time zone relevant to your customers.

Suggested campaign windows are starting points. School calendars, community events, business closures, order cut-offs and fulfilment times vary. Confirm the dates and terms that apply to your business before making a promise.

A simple campaign checklist

Pick one relevant date, one audience and one useful outcome.

Share something useful. Try a seasonal tip, a behind-the-scenes story, a service reminder or an honest offer.

Make the next step clear. Invite readers to explore a guide, ask a question, book a visit or browse your products.

Learn from the response. Note useful enquiries, bookings, sales or feedback, then improve the next campaign.

Awareness days are prompts, not public holidays or proof that a hashtag is trending. Check the organiser’s current information and choose topics that genuinely fit your audience.

One useful next step

Turn your plan into something customers can use.

Update a page, prepare a helpful email or make your next seasonal message easier to find.
